Biggleswade Junior Squash.
Biggleswade squash club has had a junior section for many years, but in more recent times we have really started to grow this area of the club. Under the guidance of England squash level 2 coach Mike Palmer and England squash level 1 coach Gary Leggett (also Bedfordshire county junior squash co-ordinator) we have gained a reputation for having the best junior squash group in the county.
Junior squash coaching takes place on a Friday evening between 6pm and 8pm with three courts being made available to us. We currently have 19 children who regularly attend between the ages of 7 and 15, two of which are girls. Three of the boys are currently in the Bedfordshire county squad, with two of them having represented the team on two occasions at inter county matches.
We also have two juniors who compete in the clubs box leagues and one of these also represents Biggleswade in the Bedfordshire Squash league Division 2.
Some of our juniors have also entered some county run tournaments in recent times with some of our successes listed below:
Bedfordshire County Closed 2021
Robbie Leggett - u15 winner, u17 runner up
Bedfordshire County Closed 2022
Cristian Garcia - u15 runner up
Chloe Moss - u15 Girls winner
